Wandering about what is happening up in the Pilbara given all of the recent publicity about the end of the mining boom? Also have you ever thought about investing with others but did not know where to start. Well… this month you will learn about both, firstly an update on what is happening up North in the Pilbara and the second our very own Jeremy Jacka talking about investing with others based on some interesting and profitable projects he has been / is involved with.
First, back by popular demand is Paul Trotman from PILBARA DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION!
Paul has over 35 years of professional experience in the strategic, regional and development aspects of planning, primarily in a built environment. Currently the Manager of Land Development and Coordination for the WA Government’s Pilbara Cities initiative, he has a wealth of knowledge and insight into the development of WA’s regional centres.
Those of you who attended Paul’s informative session last year will attest to the value his insights brought to all of us as investors. If you invest in WA property it is critical that you take a state wide approach and understand what is happening in the areas which drive so much of the WA economy. In the past 12 months since Paul last came to visit us we have seen some massive changes that have had a direct impact on development in the North of WA, think MRRT, Carbon Tax, and now a change of government. So what does all this mean for the Pilbara and wider WA property market. Paul is going to shed some light on what has been happening over this period and what future projects and plans are in place for the Pilbara region
The second speaker will be our own Jeremy Jacka. Jeremy has and continues to be involved in a number of profitable multi-million dollar projects with other investors. Jeremy will be discussing learning’s from some of these developments that have helped to keep him not needing to have a day job… Something most of us aspire to.
Jeremy will be covering off on the deals and what they involve including some of the numbers and importantly how he became involved and what part he played in the projects to give you a feel for how you could do something similar if that is something you would like to do, understanding that you do not necessarily need significant amounts of money or time to be involved.
More specifically Jeremy will be talking about; his experiences to date both positive and negative; what roles to you have in a multi-person deal; what type of structures can be used; what expectations should you have as a time or money partner; and importantly how do you find potential people to partner with, how could you present yourself to them, what should you ask them and much more.
