A Happy New Year to all, 2014 is already well and truly upon us. What are you goals for the year and beyond? Is one of them to get into the world of developing, or if you are already there to maximise your opportunities!
This session will focus on how maximise your returns from developments by taking an economics perspective. It will cover all facets of a development from land selection, design, selection of materials and build type, yield maximisation to the use of debt and equity. Using this approach to property development can guide decision making and ensure the economics of the development stack up first and foremost! This means, at the end of the day you will be getting the best return for your money! In addition it’s a great opportunity to catch up with other like-minded people to have a discussion about the year ahead and grow your network.
The speakers for the night are Ron Forlee and Steve Smith. Ron is a qualified Architect, successful Developer and published Author. As the Managing Director of AYR International Pty Ltd he has developed a business with local and international experience in all facets of property development with specialties in Development Management and Project Management services. Over the past 33 years Ron has been involved in all facets of Architecture, including design and on-site supervision. Projects have ranged from housing and unit developments, to larger commercial buildings such as shopping centres, office blocks and tourism developments both in Australia, South Africa and China.
Steve is a qualified CPA Accountant, qualified to provide financial advice, real estate sales representative and Responsible Manager on an ASIC Australian Financial Services License. Over the past 15 years Steve has worked in the financial services industry in Western Australia across structured products, leveraged products, agricultural based funds and managed funds. For the last two years he has provided a specialised service to developers in structuring developments and sourcing a full funding solution via debt and equity from wholesale markets and investors.
