The first speaker of the night will be Ryan Willsher from Finn Franchise Brokers. Ryan has a strong passion for all forms of franchising and small business. He has gained extensive experience in both the SME and Corporate world over his 15 year career as well as working in both Canada and the UK. Ryan has an extensive background in marketing, business development, management and many other areas needed to grow a small business. On a weekly basis Ryan meets a large number of buyers, sellers, and franchise industry experts that can assist you with making the right decision. Ryan will be talking about:

- How to select a business
- The process of buying a franchise
- Getting finance to buy a franchise
- The typical costs for buying a franchise
- Current businesses for sale and how the returns and value was calculated
- What sort of effort in terms of time and commitment will be required from a buyer
- What skills / knowledge should a person have that wants to get into running their own business
The second speaker for the night will be Carmen Taylor who is a regular attendee at the meetings. As a qualified merchandiser/ designer, active property investor/renovator/manager for 5 years and full time mother of a 2 & 3 year old, Carmen understands what owners, buyers and tenants are looking for in the market. A key focus is providing the right product for the specific market to maximize returns. Carmen’s presentation will be on creative renovation solutions using joint ventures for profitable win win outcomes for all parties.
Question, do you know someone with a rundown/tired/old property who doesn’t have the time, motivation, money or skill to renovate the property to get premium price for selling? Well, Carmen will be sharing a recent example of how to work with this type of person and key points of how to do renovations with a twist to get the maximum benefit.
