Most of us would have watched the block at least once or twice and yes it can be entertaining, however, what you hear in the background is that if they were real life projects the majority of them would have been losing money hand over foot… Not a place you really want to be?
So to give us an insight into how smaller value add projects can be done in a way to MAKE MONEY, this month we will have Adam Barry. Adam is an experienced local property investor that a number of you may have met at property meeting who started investing in property in 2009. He has undertaken a range of value-add projects including renovations, subdivision and development and done quite well out of them, progressively taking on larger challenges.
Adam will be going through a couple of his value add projects and talk about the “twists” that lead to them being profitable as against the “block”. It will also cover what to look for to find value-add investment opportunities.
The second speaker for the night is David Liddiard, owner and creator of PropertyMyWay a web based tool that helps investors to manage their investment property, streamlining the management process and taking away the need for an agent, saving the investor money in terms of the management fees. This is something that is definitely worth hearing about if you have rental properties or may do in the future as a potentially better way of managing your properties.
