Building a house, or adding value to a property through structural and cosmetic renovations are useful strategies employed by many investors to increase profit BUT knowing where to start, who to call, what the process is, how much it will cost, then managing the project and keeping it within a budget and finishing on time, can often be a challenge for the most seasoned investor.
This month the Darwin Property Meeting group are excited to have Jack Forrest, Director and Principal Builder from Forrest Building Co as our guest speaker.
Jack has extensive experience in the building industry and is willing to answer your questions about building and renovations. For many of us, the idea of undertaking any type of construction work is daunting and overwhelming, for others it’s exciting but confusing.
Jack will help de-mystify the building and renovation process, provide tips and tricks that we need to be aware of when engaging a builder, and offer advice on how to keep your project within budget.
This meeting is interactive, we love questions, and we encourage everyone to join in the discussion.
Dione and I will be talking about how to maximise profits when it comes to subdivision and development deals BEFORE signing on the dotted line.
The reality is that many investors get swept up in the hype – thinking that a subdivision or property development will make a profit regardless of the size of the land or the locality. However, there are a lot of variables that any investor needs to understand and work through to determine costs, so our discussion will be on how to cut costs and to maximise profits for your development deal.
This first meeting of the year is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, build your networks and develop your property investing muscle. Bring your pen, paper and business cards. Remember, you are always welcome to bring along friends or relatives who are interested in property investing – it is all about networking with like-minded people!
We look forward to seeing
