In May, we have Brent McCartney from chartered and property accountant from DFK Benjamin King Money come and talk to us about ALL things accounting when it comes to property investing and development.
This can be as simple as purchasing it in individuals names, to setting up a taxation structure like a Company and Trust for the property.
A number of factors that should be taken into account include:
- Tax Minimisation on its eventual sale,
- Potential immediate Tax Benefits of the properties gearing,
- the risk involved with the property and
- whether asset protection is an issue
Brent will also touch on the following related issues:
- Why Depreciation is Tax deferral not Tax avoidance
- Accounting and Taxation tips for investors
- Accounting tips for Property Developers
You do NOT want to miss this meeting!
Brent will also share some real life examples from his client base where the accounting and related structures worked and did not work, as well as answering any questions from the floor throughout the night.
There will be a session after this, where attendees can ask questions of the presenter.
There will be some focussed networking being offered, following on after questions.
Registration from 6.30 pm for a 7.00pm start. Finish around 9.00pm.
Enjoy a meal at the Club before the meeting (from 5.30pm) and/or a drink afterwards.
