About this month’s speaker
My name is Glenn Newbery and I am privileged to be your new Sydney Property Meeting Leader. I have been a regular attendee at the Sydney Property Meeting and I love the atmosphere and the comradery when we all come together to network as property investors once a month.
A little bit about me. I purchased my first investment property back in 1998, mainly because I was bad at saving money and by purchasing an investment property I saw that as forced savings by making myself pay a mortgage. Since then I have had quite a journey of gaining knowledge and education and applying the learned strategies and concepts and putting them into action.
Over my property investing career so far, I have undertaken many types of investing strategies, from buy and hold, to renovations, developments and buying and selling properties in New Zealand. 2011 saw a shift in my property investing strategy, which lead to me build a substantial property portfolio of 14 properties within 3 years all while working a demanding full time job in IT.
A change in my employment situation in mid-2014 came as a blessing in disguise, when in 2015 I was offered an opportunity to change career, and move into the property investment industry as the Portfolio Planner at Right Property Group. I now have a dream job which allows me to live and breath my passion for property investing every day, educating people and giving them a vision that can help change their lives.
