Tuesday, 17th April 2018- The 10 most painful mistakes town planners see developers make & how to avoid them

We are very fortunate this month to have Peta Charles from Brisbane Town Planning presenting to the group on the 10 most painful mistakes town planners see developers make … and how to avoid them. Peta has extensive experience as a town planner assessing development applications for Brisbane City Council. She subsequently joined the consultancy sector advising clients, ranging from first time homeowners, other professionals and developers through to large corporations. Peta is an accredited RiskSmart consultant. Having worked on both sides of the fence, Peta knows how Council ticks and the commercial realities of property development.

Peta will highlight some of the most common and painful mistakes that she sees both experienced and “rookey” property developers make, errors that can be readily avoided with a bit of foresight and consultation. She will also highlight some situations that, on initial review, look resolvable but can present huge challenges for the developer, planner and other professionals to overcome, if they can be. Peta will also provide some useful tips on how to avoid these mistakes and pitfalls. This is sure to raise keen interest among many people in the sector so book your place early.

There will be some structured networking being offered, following Peta’s presentation.
