Thursday 11th April 2019- Tips for Reducing Risks with Property Development + Networking

We are fortunate to have Jim Valery present at our April property meeting on his tips for reducing risks associated with property development and subdivision.

Jim is well placed to provide some salient advice to our Group. While he hails from a mining background and became the Queensland Secretary of the CFMEU Mining and Energy Division, he decided to be a full time property investor and developer in 2012.

Jim has 4 projects on the go now, with projects all structured around land. However, he has also previously done build projects, including 22 apartments and a town house site. He has a huge amount to offer and his presentation is sure to be of interest to anyone venturing on a property path.

In this enlightening presentation, Jim will outline some of things you should do when developing properties, as well as some of the “dont’s”. He will outline what the right strategy could be for a particular suburb, including an assessment of market conditions. Jim will also explain why having a good understanding of council plans, policies and positions is so important and also having the right team involved can make or break a deal. He will use some real life examples to show how following these principles has helped him to be a successful property investor and developer.

There may be a focused networking session following on from Jim’s presentation.
