This month, experienced property developer Derek Edgar will provide a very illuminating presentation to the Brisbane Property Meeting on securing the right funding for your development projects, some tips and also pitfalls to be aware of. This will be followed by some focused networking.
Derek has had a varied career, having been a mortgage broker, financial planner, real estate agent and property project manager, while being involved in renovations and splitter blocks. He subsequently moved into the mid- sized property development space full time and soon realised some of the financial and other challenges and opportunities that up-scaling presented.
Derek will cover how he moved into larger scale projects and how a different type of funding facilitated this. He will outline how signing up with the wrong lender could significantly impact on the profitability of your project and other pitfalls to avoid. Derek will also describe some of the things you need to do to secure the right funding before and during the project.
There will be some structured networking being offered, following Derek’s presentation.
