In June, property investor Joanne Verikios will enlighten the Group with her considerable experience in renovating as a strategy for adding value, while creating chunks of cash that you can use in your investing or lifestyle journey. She will also answer whether renos are worth considering when the property market is “hot”.
Joanne was born in Toowoomba and grew up with a passion for leaving things better than she finds them. Not surprisingly, this characteristic stands her in good stead as a renovator! She has bought and sold real estate in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. Jo has conducted renovations, sometimes by remote control, in four out of five of those locations.
Closer to home, Joanne has renovated in Capalaba, Cleveland and Victoria Point, including joint venture projects with other property investors.
Jo will discuss how to identify good (and bad!) renovation prospects. She will reveal her insights on when and how renos can serve you in any market. She will also share some of her tips on managing your expenses while highlighting some of the less obvious costs and circumstances that can derail your budget. She will illustrate her presentation with some truly inspiring transformations she has undertaken.
Following Jo’s presentation, we will undertake some focussed networking.
